Living in True Community

👤 Preacher: Sherry Howar
📖 Scripture: John 3:16

Introduction
We live in a hyper-connected world, yet many of us feel more isolated than ever. Today, we are looking back at the early church to understand the blueprint for authentic community.

1. Devotion to Teaching and Fellowship

The early believers didn’t just meet occasionally; they devoted themselves to learning and being together. Consistency creates the environment where trust can grow.

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” — Acts 2:42

2. Shared Lives, Shared Resources

True community moves beyond a handshake on Sunday morning. It involves a willingness to support one another in practical, tangible ways. When one member suffers, we all suffer; when one rejoices, we all rejoice.

3. The Result: Favor and Growth

When a community functions in unity, it becomes attractive to the outside world. Growth is not just a strategy; it is a byproduct of health.
