⚙️ Setup Guide: Getting Started

Step 1: Install the Core

  1. Upload koinonia-link.zip to Plugins > Add New.

  2. Activate.

  3. Go to Koinonia > Setup Wizard. This will create the necessary pages (Check-in, Giving, Groups).

Step 2: Install the Theme (Recommended) 

  1. Upload koinonia-theme.zip to Appearance > Themes. (Can be downloaded free from 

  2. Install Elementor (Free version is fine).

  3. Go to Appearance > Customize to upload your Church Logo and Primary Color. The theme automatically adjusts all buttons/accents to match your brand.

Step 3: Upgrade to Premium

  1. Upload koinonia-link-premium.zip.

  2. Go to Koinonia > License and enter your key.

  3. Enable Modules: Go to Koinonia > Settings > Premium Modules. Turn on “Guardian Mode,” “AI Automator,” and “Stripe Payments” (only enable what you use to keep the site fast).

Step 4: Configure the “Indispensable” Features 

  1. AI Setup: Go to Settings > Integrations and paste your OpenAI API Key. 

  2. Check-in Printer: If using Guardian Mode, connect your DYMO/Zebra printer instructions in Settings > Check-in.

  3. Import Data: Use the Koinonia > Import tool to pull your CSVs from Planning Center or Breeze.
